There's a new book coming out in May (2005) called When I Met You: A Story of Russian Adoption which was written for children from about 3 to 8 or so. I wrote it, actually! the illustrations are really beautiful - you can go to the publisher's website to see the cover (DRT Press). There is another book coming out in May about EE adoption, Borya and the Burps, which is about life after the orphanage, and a third book, Nikolai the Only Bear, which was published in March. I haven't seen the other two, but mine was written specifically to speak to children adopted from Russia, although many of the experiences (orphanage life, food, birth mother) would be the same for many children adopted from EE countries.

"A blessing from above" is a little golden book about a kangaroo who always wished for a baby of her own and then one day a baby bird falls out of its nest into her pouch..... a beautiful story. My fave! "Over the Moon" is about going to get a child in another country. Adorable.... and "the day we met you" is great too. I have picked up "tell me again about the night I was born" in the store and actually teared up right there in Barnes and Noble!! Hope this helps. Mega
