The judge has now heard the entire case re: terminating birthfather's rights against his will. Now we're waiting for the verdict. We can't seem to get any information regarding a potential timeline for this verdict. Has anyone ever had to wait before? Heard of other timelines to a verdict? Just curious.
Meanwhile, we are enjoying our 2 children!
Gosh, I don't know. Obviously there is more to this story than is posted here but I would assume a week or so probably to write an opinion etc. But I haven't a clue since I haven't been through this.
Take care - it must be an emotional ride for you!

i don't know if this is a foster/adopt situation or not, but when the judge heard my son's case (foster/adopt in another state) she did not rule from the bench, but called my lawyer within the week to let him know her ruling. my lawyer said sometimes they don't like to rule from the bench as emotions tend to be high and it is less stressful to let lawyers know the verdict later. good luck to you.
Hi!
Thanks for the well wishes and for taking the time to give me your feedback. This is a straight adoption, not foster/adopt. This has been an extremely difficult 5 months. The judge finished hearing the case 2 weeks ago. We are very hopeful to have a verdict tomorrow...here's hoping for a GOOD GOOD FRIDAY at our house.
