Update

Hello Michigan gang! I don't have any exciting news yet, but thought I would post an update. Here is what has been going on with us the past few weeks: * My aunt called last week to tell us that two little girls she knows are available for adoption. She thought of us immediately, which was great! The girls are older than what we are looking for though, so I think we'll pass. They are 6 & 9. We are approved for ages 0-6. * Our 1-800 number is up and running! We are excited to have another way for potential birthmothers to contact us. * We are still waiting for a copy of our home study and adoption status letter from our social worker to send to ParentsProfiles. I contacted her the other day because it had been more than a week since I told her we needed them. She apologized and said she forgot about it and will send the documents to us right away. So it shouldn't be long now. Then, we can send in our info and get our profile listed. We are excited about giving this a try and hope that it helps us to find a match. * I haven't heard anything from the two potential birthmothers that contacted me via e-mail a few weeks ago. One of them I didn't think would end up placing. The other probably will, but maybe she has picked someone else. So, our adoption saga continues ... It has been really hard waiting all this time, but I have a feeling that something might happen soon. We'll just have to wait and see. :)
