I am at a road block. I have been using a wonderful search angel in Ohio, however she has suggested that I seek out someone in Kentucky to help me out. I was born in Ohio but adopted in Kentucky. My adoption was handled through the Child Welfare Department of Kentucky. I was born on 03/09/1964 (at least that is what the amended birth certificate states). I have non-id information I am willing to share.Tracey

this is how I found out my Birth Moms name, thanks to a great search angel she found the info in about 48 hours. KY has birth record books at most libaries & until around 1968 or so the orginal records were published in those books until they figured out that adoptees were using them to search for birth familes, then they quit printing them. Here is how it works the last set of numbers on your birth cert did not change only the volume # the 1st three #. I was born in Sept, 1963 and my was in Volume 101, yours many be in the same volume. It gave me my mothers name at the time of my birth then I searched from there. I would try this. It jsut takes lots of searching to find the same number I dont know since you were adopted from Ohio if this would work or if OHIO has the same system
GOOD LUCK
