My husband and I are beginning (again) to adopt from Panama. Our first attempt was postponed b/c I became pregnant with our daughter just before we were sent the videos of our children. Our agency has since closed its Panama program. Now, 2 years later we are starting over, this time with a private attorney. So far it is going very well and very quick, much quicker that weI had anticipated.
I was just wondering how it was going for others. Panama is so difficult to adopt from that I think we need each others support, or maybe I just need others support. Anyway, I would love to hear from you.

Hi. We have been approved by the Youth Ministry for adoption. We have not been assigned a child yet. Just recently we have been hearing more from our attorney, so we will see. We also have all of our dossier and paperwork in Guatemala through an agency. We are in the process of adopting a little girl.
We have been with Panama for 1 1/2 years now, with not alot of progress. 1 year ago in May we traveled there for an interview, psych evaluation. But we haven't heard a lot since.
I hope things move fast for you.....

Can you really adopt from 2 different countries at the same time? We had thought about Guatamala, but the information that we received said that the time wait for Guatamala and Panama was almost the same. And since Panama was so much less expensive we decided to start there. Also our hearts went out to the children in orphanages. We do want to adopt more than one child, but figured we were going to have to wait until we were completely finished with the first before starting the next.Is it possible to work on both at the same time?thanks, seania
