How Long for Court Date in MI? FOr TPR

does anyone know how long it usually takes to get a court date in MI for TPR of pbmom. i know it can vary from county to county. our sw filed over a week ago , i just thought we would here back by now. meanwhile, looks like i will be in your state at least the next 6 weeks.

we were in Oakland county, and got an initial court date (which, unfortunately, ha to be rescheduled) in 2 weeks. It took another 3-4 weeks to reschedule the date, but that was partly based on the birthmom's schedule.

Rocky ~ Mich law (i believe) states the bmom has 28 days. The court date can be before or after that I think. We filed in Lenawee County and well our date is the 20th. But having issues with bfather so i'm sure it will be rescheduled. :(

There is not a set number of days for bparents to revoke. They can until the court date is scheduled. Ours took 12 weeks (bparents must be notified of the hearing 28 days before if the bfather has not already signed off). Of course, we had Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years in between too. Hopefully, yours will be a lot sooner. I know someone who adopted a couple of years ago and they were through with the hearing and ICPC within 3 weeks, so there is hope :)
