Just a stupid question here! We are stationed in Oahu and sent our application to adopt to DHS in February, within a week we were in the PRIDE training class which lasted two week. Two weeks after that we had our homestudy done. It took our worker two weeks to get the report written and our file turned over to the state, which was on April 21. Early Wednesday morning, the 27th, the state worker called to set up an appointment for tomorrow and this is the final meeting that will get us the foster license we need before a child can be placed with us. We will have our license by Friday of this week!!! I have never known a state agency to move so fast and we were wondering if this is typical or is it moving fast? We were pondering the possibility that our name has been matched and they are pushing our file through quickly so that we can get to the meeting/placement stage. Our class trainers told us that this does happen sometimes. What does everyone think?
