How is everyone? Do you have any news to report?
Nothing here. DH still says "no" to second adoption but I remain hopeful that he will cave. *heehee* He is thinking about changing employers and I think with increased salary and benefits he will eventually realize that he misses having a wee one. Or, maybe he will realize how much Kiran would benefit from having a sibling close in age. :D
Kiran is growing like a weed. Golly, he just isn't a baby anymore. *sigh* However, it is heaps of fun to watch him grow and develop and he cracks us up everyday with something new and/or cute. Here's a recent pic of him at preschool. He wasn't too happy because he is a mama's boy and it was morning. He always gets upset when I leave and I had to remove him from my leg to get this photo!!! *LOL*

Bassette, I just can't get over how adorable Kiran is!!! I hate to say it mama, but he is starting to look awfully grown up... We have been matched with a pbm and it looks like we are expecting a boy! When we were first told about the match, our agency said the due date was the end of Jan., but we will have to wait until Feb, 26th or so. YAY!!!! We would have preferred a shorter wait, but I see this as more time to shop :D and build a relationship with the pbm.
John is 6 mos old!!! Unbelievable!
We hadn't heard much for awhile from his bmom but then she contacted us to say that DSS took her kids away from her. I've volunteered to speak up and share the positive things we've experienced from our time with her and her children. We expect to hear soon about an upcoming court date where I may be asked to attend. We'll see.
Dh & I are talking China for a 2nd and final adoption. We've researched agencies and I've asked my preliminary thousand or so questions. If we decide to proceed we'll start sometime after the first of the year. We are going to sleep on it a couple more months at least and see if it still feels like the direction we want to go.
In the meantime just LOVING being a Mommy.
Congratulations Liz!!!!
Liz, congratulations! The time will fly by and you're right. More time to shop and prepare. How exciting! Please keep us posted.
Mitzi, thinking of and rooting for you. How about a pic of John? Toddlers are so darn fun and cute!
Sadie I'm glad that you are enjoying the heck out of that sweet baby boy. He is so, so dagnabbit cute. I see his pics on the general forum. :) Let us know when you start your chinese adoption. ;)

Congratulations on her baptism! Her "eyes" are so enchanting! I just LOVE the one sock on, one sock off photo!
John is starting to crawl. He lifts himself up on his toes, sticks his butt up in the arm and then pulls himself forward with her arms. Plenty of bright red elbows and knees but he doesn't seem to care. Just had my first experience today of staying one jump ahead of him and taking things off of the bottom shelves! Yes... I have plenty of baby proofing to do!

Sruss - yes, please let us know how the orientation is. I remember how excited I was to go to ours. For dh it really was a turning point. It really hadn't sunk in to him but after orientation he was bouncing off the walls excited.
Lori - Looking forward to seeing a 4 yr old riding a Bassette! What stage are you in the adoption process?
The pic of John is him bundled up in the cold for a day at the races at Keeneland (we train racehorses). Since we didn't get our picture taken in the winners circle :( I had to take a few pics myself! He wasn't minding the cold a bit!!!

Hello everyone! Thought I would update everyone on our situation. Our match failed last week :( Some unknowns (lies actually) had begun to surface in our match and we really didn't feel the match was salvagable because we still had such a long way to go till the due date. Dh and I are doing okay and we have decided to give the domestic route another try. There's something refreshing about starting over!!! Lori-I get a big, goofy grin on my face everytime I see a pic of John. He is sooo cute! Was looking at the new pic you posted and Dh said "What in the world are you looking at?" He had to come over to the computer to check everything out and he said "AWWW!" I couldn't believe that came from my big, macho husband. LOL Shay-Daria is adorable as usual. I have NEVER seen such amazing eyes. Mitzi-How are things going with you? Any nibbles recently?
