Hi all, I haven't been a member here very long, as the process has been very quick for us, but I wanted to share our good news. We are now visiting two of our children-to-be and we have our baby with us already! We arrived in the state two days ago and picked our baby up this morning. Her older sister and brother are with another foster home right now, and they are very supportive of everything, but we are taking things a bit slower for them for obvious age reasons.Still, we are thankful things have gotten to this point quickly for us. Things have fallen into place so well; this is really meant to be.I want to let anyone out there getting discouraged about domestic foster care adoption, to keep your energy and persistence up. You have to stay on top of everything, and essentially, learn everything you have to do. Don't count on others to tell you. We did all our research, got our homestudy, found foster care classes ourselves, found our children, etc. on almost all our own steam. I know without a doubt that these are my children, and I see it in the face of my 5 year old son- he knows more than I would expect of a 5 yr old, but he knew there was something special about meeting us the first time he did. He knows I am his forever mother. Good luck to you all!

Congratulations! :)
I am always happy to hear of the happy times in this struggle that we partake of.
It is very true that you have to take charge and do everything for yourself. We have learned that many of the agency "workers" involved only see their job as just that... just a job. To us, it is our life!
We are still waiting on TPR of our son's old parents... 1 year + and waiting placed with us  ... but we're hanging in there! :D
Best wishes!
I am so glad to hear at least one posative outlook on fostercare adoption my husband and I are waiting to be matched and have inquired about serveral children some however have been placed others we have not heard yet we just hang in there hoping to find a child all in gods time we will keep looking and bugging the cw untill it happens thanks for your input
That is so awesome to hear your good story! We are also waiting to be matched, for a few weeks now (Lord knows it feels like a few years though!). The process can be very daunting and emotionally draining, so it is good to see a good story and to see God at work in your family! Congrats!
