I have never seen a copy of ours. If you have seen a copy of your homestudy .What was in it? letter refferences, cps checp etc
thanks so much
I have not seen ours, however I write them as part of my job for foster and special needs adopt. Different agencies have different formats, lenghts, and amount of detail, but basically it is a document outlining your family makeup, history, strengths, weaknesses, outline of your home verifying safety and a statement of suitability to adopt. They do generally list the verificatons of cps, financial, references, etc. There should be nothing in there that is a surprise to you. Any concerns noted should be discussed with you by your social worker, and also a discusiion on how address any risk factors. I don't understand why we would not be able to see it, but the agency we are going through does not make it standard practice.
