Can anyone give me an idea of the wait time on the 171H out of the Louisville, KY office? We had our fingerprints done at the end of May and that was about the same time they should have received our home study. The USCIS web page is saying that as of June 14, the Louisville office was processing forms from January!! When I checked the site in May, they were taking about 60 days to process. So I'm hoping the web page is wrong.
We went trhu Louisville in 2002. We waited in line for the fingerprint to be done. We had arrived at 630 Am and waited w/ many other immigrants until the door opened! I know when our fingerprints expired we had to set up an appt. that was 4/04. We were set to travel in May 04. our 1-600 expired inJune 04. Whoa were close! If i'm remembering right isn't the I 171H your receipt for fingerprints?
have you had your fingerprints done? If not I know you can go to Louisville ansd still wait but they don't advise it....there is no guarnette they will get to you You know now that I think about it w/ didn't have an appt th 2nd time but had to take a number and wait. again we were there VERY early to be one of the 1st in line.
Let me know if answers your question of not. I can try to look thru receipts etc and give you more accurate dates etc.
Take Care,
Sue

I just re-read your message. It seemed to TAKE A LONG TIME for our homestudy to get to the INS office Weapply 12/31/04 and the homestudy last visit was 1/15/04 but the homestuddy didn't get to INS until much later 6/7/04 and we were adopting a waiting child!!!!!!!!
