my little guy left this morning. we brought him to his
grandparents,it was the hardest thing we have ever had to do.his granparents daid they would let us be part of his life and would keep in touch with.(i hope they do)
i just wish i knew how he is doing now. whats going through his little head.i miss him so much, we can't stop crying.i just didn't want to leave him, and when we had to i wanted to go back and scoop him up and bring him back home. i hope to god that hes alright. he had no idea who the grandparents were. sooooooooo sad.
I'm so sorry. I've been there before, and it was heart-wrenching.
We received another placement 3 months after our first two (brothers) left. And, I didn't think it was possible, but I think I love them even more. It will devastate me if they have to leave too, but that's what foster-parenting, and even foster-to-adopt parenting is all about.

My angel girl returned to her bio mom after 14.5 months of living with us . She was 27 months old and only knew us as her mommy and daddy. I thought I'd die the moment she walked out the door but God had other plans. Apparently I wasn't to sit around and cry ( belive me I did my fair share before she left ) because today we are meeting 2 boys ages 2 & 3 that are Fost Adopt who need us to love them. Their TPR is scheduled already for end of month and bio mom and dad haven't been around since January. It was a situation I couldn't walk away from so ready or not , here we go again.
I will always love my daughter and if they call- whether it be 2 weeks or 12 years from now, she will always have a home here. We are licensed for 3 but will never fill that last spot. I have to believe that everything happens for a reason. Hopefully we're going down the right path

Eight years ago I received two little angels, 3 mo and 14 mo old. They lived with me for 2 years. The little one thought I was her mother and did not like visiting the bmom. The older one remembered the bmom and was happier to visit with her. They went home at 2 and 3 yrs old. I was able to stay in their lives and became their God mother. Now they are back in foster care at 8 and 9. I have moved to another state and did not get licensed in the new state. As soon as I am licensed, they will be able to come back and live with me. After 6 years of instability and chaos, they are coming home.
