My mother was from Virginia and had three girls at the time of my birth. I believe the last name was Sandidge. My mother came down to Sacramento from Virginia. I am proabley just wishing but I was born April 14, 1968.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, Ive been out of town. My mom was only 17 or 18 when she had this baby, would of been her first child, although there were three to come after. Her last name was "Doughton". Sorry, and good luck on your search!! Jennie

i was born in manasas va on june 19. i was born at windchester memorial hospital at 7:42 am. all i know about my past is that i was named tina at birth and was in an orphanage and foster home before being adopted. the year i was born in not clear. there was a decrepancy with my birth certificate. it was either 1967 or 1969. i would really like to know who my family is. christina

i had searched for my son for five years online and one day i got a call from a girl who said she was going to be talking to my son on the phone within a few hours and i was on the phone with my birthson within the next few hours. the girl was a member of givenright.com and they help find adopted family members. try? you will be happy you did! i promise! My mom was thought to have the baby girl in unwed mothers home in Norfolk VA. And maybe was adopted through Chesapeake social services. The only leads that I have came from my aunt, and she was young at the time, so memories are sketchy. I worry about the facts being right. But I am sending a letter to put in her file containing my contact info in case she comes looking for her bio family. Jennie

Alot of this is very similar to my situation. ALthough I do not know much, I know that I was born in Norfolk, Va August 14, 1967. I don't know what adoption agency to contact, my adopted mom isn't supportive of my search at all. I did try to contact the hospital years ago and their response was that they kept all the records in the basement. Years earlier there was a fire in the basement so the records were destroyed. Can you describe your mother's physical appearance? How old was she during this time? I was born in the Richmond Va area in early fall of 1967. According to my non-id I was born in a maternity home.

My mom was born in Franklin County or Franklin, VA January 16, 1967 and adopted a year later in Florida I believe. We live in Virginia now and I would love to see if we can find anyone she is related to, she had no family but an estranged brother in South Carolina. She said her was name started with a D not sure if it was a first or last name. I know she had bleach blond hair as a baby. I do have a picture but I will need some time to figure out how to upload it.
