My husband and I are stationed in Germany, we are wanting to adopt our sister-in-laws niece. Any advice on where to start? We have contacted the law office, they provide initial consultations. But, where we go from there we are not sure.
If you are in the KMC area, there is an adoption support group that is held once a month on Landstuhl base. You can get all sorts of advise and help. I was able to get the phone numbers and tons of help by going to family support first. I am in a similar situation trying to adopt infamily from Germany.

That's great, yes we are about an hour from landstuhl, I'll have to check that out. If you have anymore suggestions please feel free to let me know. Have you gotten any help from the law office on your base, or found anything out about homestudies?
This is the homepage for the support group. I'm not exactly sure what we can and can not post here, but I think I'm allowed to put that up. I'll pm you for the rest. Thank you so much, I have been looking on the internet for weeks, and have come up with nothing. This is really alot of help.
