I have so many questions!!

1st Is it considered a privite adoption IF it is between friends?? They would sign over their rights to us?

2nd do I need a home study if we are going to do a privite adoption?

Private adoption means that no agency is used, just an attorney.

All adoptions in Illinois require a homestudy, with the exception of some step parent adoptions in some counties.
