for dd, without petrolatum or mineral oil. she's had an outbreak of eczema (very mild) but rare for her but then again she's teething (4 molars and 2 others so she's a tad stressed). we like our lotions but are thinking of trying some others. Anyone try the Carol's Daughter lotions? any other suggestions? Oh and it has to smell nice too, lol. Thanks,
Lisa
I just threw out an empty bottle of some stuff for sensitive skin that I got at bath and body. It had the word SOY across a sort of beige bottle (i know huge help :grr: ). I used it a bunch on Addy and her skin was awesome. It had a little scent but super mild.
You probably already know this but the jojoba oil is great on their skin. I have used that a bunch after baths and it tends to sink in pretty quick and soften the skin nicely.
Not sure if it's cold enough there but whatever you use if you use tight cotton long sleeve onesie and tights over whateverb you use will hold it in and keep her skin moist. Also a humidifier in her bedroom will help.
I also have used a cream - no scent - haven't read the ingredients, that I get at a spa, that they use for massages, it's light but really moisturizing.
OK, have rambled enough, hope this helped.

I don't know of a lotion off the shelf that I'd recommend but I do have a recipe to make your own if you're willing to venture into that.
Otherwise, try some organic coconut oil or buy a bar of pure cocoa butter.
I was going to recommend Jojoba oil as well, Aveda sells pure, unscented jojoba oil. What about shea butter? Le Ocitanne sells it in little tins, no scent, great for very dry patches.
sorry, i should have listed all the things were already doing as a standard daily routine:
humidity throughout house at 45%
baths warm twice a day and brief, with a tbsp of aveeno oatmeal powder
light rub when she leaves the tub with jojoba oil, pat damp then quickly lotioned up from head to toe
outbreaks:
she's had three outbreaks in 18 months all very minor. we just treat with hydrocortisone creme (aveeno) 2x daily and it disappears in roughly 1-2 weeks. her latest outbreak lasted same.
we're just looking to try a nice scented heavy lotion, one that mom likes (maybe smells herbal or something). no one has tried the carol's daughter stuff? bummer.
