I finally got the first of our paperwork back to the agency. Now we are supposed to wait for a phone call to attend the orientation meeting. I will probably call though, as I am very impatient about this stuff. I want to make sure they got all of the materials I sent, and keep our names in their mind. I am always worried about getting lost in the crowd. Just thought I share!

Well, I called the agency today and they said it may be a while before our orientation & training meeting. They wait for about 8-10 couples to be at the same point we are, and then have the meeting. After calling today, it seems they just had a meeting and are now "hoping" to have another before Christmas. So, now the ball is in their court, and we just have to wait.
Yipee! It's on now! *heehee*
Congrats on clearing this big hurdle!
I saw a bumper sticker recently that about summed up all the waiting involved in adoption. It read:
Patience is a virtue, but waiting sucks
Ha! Too funny and too true. Please keep us posted every step of the way and know that we are here to support you. Take care. :)
Getting paperwork done feels great! Congratulations!
Totally agree that waiting sucks! I think if you look up adoption in Websters, it should simply just say, "WAITING".
Waiting for paperwork to clear, waiting for phone to ring, waiting for due date, waiting for tpr, waiting to finalize, etc etc.... ;)
