My husband and I are planning to adopt our first child, but we cannot use LDSFS because my DH is not a member of the church. I have heard that there are a few agencies out there run by members of the church. If anyone knows of any of these, could you please PM me?
Thanks!

Thanks, I am also looking into non-lds agencies. But I have heard in the past that their are agencies run by church members, and I was interested in finding out what agencies those were and looking at them, in addition to the ones I'm looking at now.
I am unsure of the names, but do a yellow pages search and almost half of them in the salt lake/bountiful area are lds.... I'd just start calling and asking for references... I don't think that LDS or non LDS ownership matters much.... The big reason we went with LDSFS is their post adoption services for bparents.
I know the Adoption Center of Choice out of Orem, UT is very similiar to LDSFS. They are owned by LDS Members and pretty much handle everything the same except they don't have the requirement of being a member of the LDS Church. Their fees are much more than LDSFS, but I have heard great things about them, and they have a high success rate of adoption placements. I have heard that birth moms who are LDS that don't want to go through LDSFS, will go through this agency. Their website is... Hope this helps!
There are a couple I know of...A Guardian Angel, Heart to Heart Adoptions, A Act of Love, and No Greater Love. These agencies are all in Utah and are run by LDS people. Just know that going outside of LDSFS, you are going to be paying at least twice to three times as much. Both of our kids are from A Act Of Love. We were going with LDSFS but our children were supposed to go through a different agency. Just pray and you will be led to where your baby is!!
Good Luck!
Meg :)
