FRUA-PA's First Annual Russian Winter Celebration will be held at Bryn Mawr College on Sunday, January 8, 2006 from 4 - 6 p.m.
Children of all ages are welcome. We will be having a visit from Granfather Frost and the Snow Maiden, a babushka reading the traditional Russian holiday story, Babushka, a craft, and food. Please bring some sort of food to share, Russian inspired if you want, and a serving utensil for it. There will not be any way to heat whatever you bring.
We will have a different twist to Grandfather Frost. Instead of him giving gifts to our children, we plan to have the children each bring a donation for our grow bag program to give to Grandfather Frost. The Snow Maiden will assist Grandfather Frost and give our children a small bag of candy. Things we collect for Grow Bags are: vitamins, one piece outfits or pajamas for ages 12 months and up, socks, shoes, mittens, gloves, hats, etc. Everything should be new with tags still on them.
The celebration will cost $8.00 per family payable either in advance or at the door. You do not need to be a member of FRUA to attend. R.S.V.P. Katie Shemwell ktnsid@hotmail.com Please see our website for more information on programs and events www.frua.org/PA
