Hi everyone,
Thought I would see how everyone is doing thus far.
Things are good here. I am happy to be down 11 lbs so far! Yay for me! I am looking forward to starting to TTC again this spring. Then if no luck, we will get back to the RE in the fall and go from there! Hopefully this whole weight loss thing will end up making a big impact on things!
How about everyone else? Anything fun this weekend? We had our "Grandfather Frost" festival with our adoption agency celebrating the Russian form of Christmas. It was kind of fun. It was nice to see all of the kids!
Well, hopefully we have a great week.
Take care,
Renae

Well, I have officially taken step 1! I quit smoking (again). Many of my buddies here were so very helpful when I quit at the end of July last year. I quit for a whole month...until August 28th. So, I have officially quit again...day 2 is here. Feeling ok with that. The next step is that I have to gain about 10 pounds. Stopping smoking will definately help with that. January resolution down... Here comes May!

Congratulations on your quitting smoking!!!
I have never smoked, but I have friends and family who do, and I know it is very hard.
You must be pretty tiny! Have to GAIN 10 lbs? Wow! Well, whatever it takes, right? I am sure you can do it.
Are you going to do any acupuncture or anything during your IVF cycle? I did it during my failed one, and even though I failed, they said my lining looked good. But, I do not know how much, if any it helps. I am not sure if I would do it again, but I have a little time to ponder.
Well, take care!

Tracy,
Congrats on quitting smoking. Let me know what you are going to do to gain those 10 lbs. I have tried everything. I know that being underweight may be one of my issues for not being able to conceive. While we went through everything a couple of years ago this was one of the things the RE mentioned might help. He wanted to see me at around 105 lbs. My body just won't do it.
We are also going to start ttc again this summer (or earlier). I don't know how happy my RE is going to be to see us though. He was not happy that we decided to adopt instead of going the IVF route. Unfortunately he is the only one in town who specializes in infertiility so I don't have a choice but to see him.
Anyway...wanted to say congrats on quitting smoking.

Hopefully May!!!
And AnimalCrackers...try Smoothie milkshakes. They have like 2000 calories. Also, lots of caffeine free soda, bread, rice or potatoes with everything, and eat ALL the time! That is all I can suggest for now. I have never really been able to keep my weight up well either. People laugh, but it is a big problem and leads to a lot of illnesses. I also suggest laying off multivitamins as they ALWAYS curb my appetite. Juice helps too. I'll let you know what works as I find out. Good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone,
All is good here. Nothing happening. I think I am on CD21. I do not expect anything until I start back on some meds at the soonest.
I am down by 17 lbs now though. So, it is coming off slowly but surely. I want to loose another 30 before we start "really" trying again. (at the Dr.)
I guess I thought this board would be more active. I am kind of sad that it is so slow. Oh well. I also go to the fertilichat site.
Anyhow, good luck everyone. Hope things start happening for all of us!
