:flower: HI I had read your post and I know some ppl have said to look in your local newspaper about the time that you were born for a birth announcement I know that maybe a long shot but I had seen where it worked for one person I know that it doesn't always work but it is worth a try , Also I had posted something for you in hopes you read it and reply back. In the mean time I will help you also. do you know your birth familys last name? I wish you all the luck in the world. Another way you could go is to put an article in the Honolulu Star bulletin that you are looking for your birth parents and maybe someone out there that is reading the paper will come across your article . You see I helped my neighbor that way I had told her to put an article in the paper from the state that she was born in and and the birth brother that she was looking for read her article and she found her birth family. It is worth the try. I too am thinking about that also putiing an article in the Honolulu newspaper to locate my birth brother. Just some suggestions. God Bless and I hope you find your birth family also. Jo Ann

Aloha,I read your post and have been doing the same thing for several years. Here are a few ideas. 1) request to open the adoption file from the vital statistics dept. (state of hawaii). It will cost @$400. They will do a search for your birth parents for 90 days to get their approval to open the records. If no contact is made after 90 days, the records will be opened. 2)If you have a name and/or birth date and/or SSN# of either parent you can do searches on adoption.com (free), ussearch.com (pay), or various people searches on yahoo, google, msn. You can also search familysearch.org for birth records and a free search of the social security death index. You can also search the honolulu advertiser and starbulletin archives for birth and death announcements. Lastly, once you find them it gets a little tricky. Hopefully they are open to the reunion. Hope it helps. kahau
