We had a lawyer all lined up to finalize our interstate adoption, but that attorney's partner died a month ago, leaving him severly overwhelmed at work, and now he can't help us.
We don't want to just pick one out of a book, and pms would be helpful if you are in UT and have a lawyer to recommend. Interstate experience would be nice, but we can call and find out if you don't know.
Thanks.
Our Lawyer is my aunt (by marriage)'s brother. Our adoption was out of state and he did wonderfully...it was also a legal risk placement. I will PM you with his name/info. He is in West Valley, but I (and his sister) live in so. Utah.

Thank you all.
We used an attorney recommended by one of you, and all went so smoothly. We even got before a judge quickly and by the date we wanted, which held family significance.
WAHOO!!!
Good to hear it!
Now, for the post adoption parenting issues......LOL There's a wealth of info on these boards not just adoption specific Hope to see you around!

I have searched but have not found any indication; does Utah require us to Adopt here again when we return home from our International adoption? Is Utah adpoption an expensive process?
I am unaware of the international process.....
You should ask if anyone in the international forums had to finalize in the states, or was it final overseas. This sounds like a federal governed issue and not state specific. (all states the same)
