Hi,
my name is Janet and I am searching for my birth mom. I am 46 years old, married and have 2 grown children. My adoptive parents have provided me with all my papers and I have initiated my search. Sometimes it becomes very frustrating.

Hi Janet - I am an adoptee age 47 and searched and found my 3 birth sisters 9 years ago and met. My birth parents were deceased by the time I found but I receieved lovely pictures of them. My search took 2 and 1/2 years and the agency foundmy parents deceased so they would not go further. So I pursued the hospital I was born at and after about 6-8 months of writing them a number of lettes- they sent my hospital records to the adoption agency I was adopted through. My social worker deleted most identifying info but left on some great clues. Within a day of getting these records I found my sisters. DO not give up hope! My e-mail: adoption@wideopenwest.com
