I suddenly need to know how to deal with a meth exposed newborn  Hints, supports, ideas anyone? I have been told she likes a weighted blanket - anything else???

Hi there fellow BC'er... I have a now 18 month old that was meth exposed. She liked to be swaddled tightly, slept elevated (many meth babies suffer with relux - much higher than average), and didn't do well with bright lights or loud noises. BTW - I read your other post about going to church and coming home with a baby. Sounds SOOO familiar. My hubby is a pastor and I have to say it has put us in odd predicaments but not this odd...
Poor little one and her family. It is great that you are helping give her a break. These little ones often don't sleep that well. Take care and thanks for caring..

Thanks :) - so far she has been fairly sleepy. Grandma doesnt have a car seat for her and said that she sleeps on her back, but I have found her happier today sleeping in the car seat so we will see how it goes tonight. I have noticed lights bother her and well, with 4 boys in the house, nothing I can do about the loud noises :). I have a weighted blanket - and have had no guideance about formula ... so I will just do my best in that department.
And yes, being on the leadership team HAS brought on some strange phone calls but nothing ever this strange -- although actually once before I brought home a 4 month old baby girl for a couple of weeks.
