I am curious to know if any of you have used/are using any language tools before. I was thinking about ordering one called Ukrainian plus Russian Phrases for Children that was made especially for adopting.
Jennifer
Hi there,
I bought that exact one and I like it- I haven't traveled to Ukraine yet, so I haven't had a chance to put my skills to the test, though.

Have you seen the phrases for adopted children that are posted on the Russia board of this forum? They were put together by a member of the forum and we printed them out and took them to Ukraine with us. They came in extremely handy when we adopted Daniel as there were several phrases in there that we needed. Its worth checking them out
Jane
Jane, Yes, I printed them out along time ago and they are just sitting there waiting for us to use them. Who knows when that will be though. Do you think that
we need anything else too or do you think that the phrases will be enough?
By the way, Congradulations on your new family members. They are beautiful!

FYI on Russian phases: I just happend to notice on Part 2 the transliterations are not lined up properly in the pets section. The correct translation is the second line. Otherwise, you will have your cats and dogs mixed up.
This is otherwise a great reference.
Jane: I would also like to extend my best wishes to you and your family!
Jennifer
They were all we needed, we got our translator to add a few more (like stop screaming, calm down, do'nt touch!!) but not much of anything.
