Private agency foster adoption

Can anyone reccomend a private agency in Florida that does foster care adoptions in Florida, I do not want to go through dcf if I do not have to.

Have you checked with your local Children's Home Society office? If they are not the Community based agency that is handling foster care adoptions in your area they should be able to tell you who is. Good luck!

I am not sure if you are aware, but Heartland for children is an agency that is now subcontracted through DCF. We were able to take our MAPP classes and get our homestudy free of charge. Everyone has an opinion, but quite frankly we have been pretty satisfied so far. We were told the key was to stay in contact with them on a regular basis, and we have...We have just been referred to be an adoptive placement for a sib-group of 3 and we get to visit this week! We are in Polk County and I believe they handle many counties as well! Good luck in your search!!!
