TECHNORATI
For those of you who are following Marie's great suggestions (sent in an email and posted on the blogger forum) about "claiming your blog" at technorati.com, please do not create a separate post for the technorati info. Just put it at the very bottom of a blog post. They will see it... <g>.
IMAGES
Reminder that the maximum width on images is 450 pixels (6.25 inches). If you aren't sure how big your picture is or how to make it smaller, let me know. Until the photo resizing software goes up, I'll be happy to do them (I've been image-elfing for a while now... <g>).

Technorati won't let me claim my blog, either. It says it's processing but I need to do some weird thing about pasting some code into a sidebar somewhere on adoptionblogs.com. I am not that technologically savvy and I don't know what sidebar they're referring to. What are they talking about? They don't respond to my questions at Technorati, so I'll have to rely on those of you who have expertise in this area. Thanks for your help, computer gurus!

I've sent a note to our tech folks to see if this is "us" or "them" - in the meantime, go to Technorati.com and do this:
Click on the blog finder tab at the top
In the search box, write the topic of your blog (the title will work, like "international adoption")
You may get two options - (1) claim your blog, or (2) post this code into your blog.
Since the claiming part seems to have problems, copy and paste the code (option 2) into the bottom of your next blog post.
As soon as I have news about the "claiming" problem, I'll let you know.
Thanks

Anyone had any luck in getting your blog to show up on Technorati ?

I sort of come up in technorati now... Bill posted a blog in a ring that linked to mine and came up number 1 when you do a search under foster adoption under my blog.....!! I come up with several other posts in the first few of the listings. I'm not sure if it is working correctly, but there is progress! But then, a moment later, it can't find my blog at all.... One minute it was there and then... POOF! Anyone know if I should do anything more? What now?
