Hi All,
Just wanted to let you know about news readers. They allow you to subscribe to RSS feeds from blogs or other websites. That way, you can get all the new posts from your favorite blogs, or any new things that happen on your favorite site, all in one place.
I found a free reader (although you can set up an email program to do this too), called SharpReader
and it is pretty cool.

It will also notify you by means of a little pop-up on the lower right of your computer screen when someone adds a new post. And when you click on the "read more..." on an adoptionblogs post link at the end of the preview paragraph, the adoptionblogs.com site opens in the right window (where the first paragraph of the post was).Screenshot
To subscribe to an RSS feed, (for a blog, for example), go to your favorite adoptionblogs blog. Scroll down to:

What is RSS?
(On the right side of the page, just under Archives).
The easiest way to get the RSS feed into Sharpreader is to open your browser and Sharpreader and click and drag the RSS feed address from your browser window address bar to the address bar in Sharpreader (click on the RSS 2.0 link, and when the address comes up in your browser window, click on the address and drag it into the address bar at the top of Sharpreader).
OR
You could right click on one of the links that are available (I use the RSS 2.0 link, and that seems to work well with Sharpreader) and select copy link location. Then paste (CTRL + V) in the address bar in Sharpreader, or the URL field (under tools - feed properties).
If you have any questions once you try it out, or if you have no idea what I'm talking about, email me.

I like using FireFox as my browser because I can set up RSS feeds on the toolbar. Then all I have to do is pull down a menu. If I want to refresh the list I right click on the list.
Easy and simple....
