Around the bend?
To the looney farm?
To Texas?
Well folks here֒s the scoop.
John (my husband, for those of you that dont know) went to work on Friday, worked the entire shift, then was called to the presidentҒs office and told that the position he held had been eliminated for business reasons. (Dont you LOVE employers who work you all day then give you the pink slip at closing time!?)
So҅here is the deal.
John and I moved here to accept this position without doing a lot of research. Contrary to what many of you might think, Chicago is NOT a Mecca of job opportunities. In fact, the industry John works in is almost unheard of here. This just isnt the ґright place for us to be.
So, weҒve made the very hard decision to put our house on the market and move to where you might ask? Well, Texas of course.
I am from Texas ֖ grew up there have family there ֖ and we have shelter there from this storm.
My amom (yes, evil amom incarnate) has offered to move out of her house and allow us to move in and live rent free until we can sell our houseJohn will be going to work for my dad, short term, until we find something else.
In the end, the decision was agonizing Ŗ but were both kinda viewing this as an opportunity to start over҅to start fresh.
What this means for you is two things:
I will be available on a limited basis for the next two two and a half weeks. We֒ll be packing for the move, which will take place on 4/3
From 4/1 4/6 I will be unavailable ֖ I will be packed up, loading and/or in transit during that time.
Internet will be in place sometime between 8-11 AM on 4/6 and I will be back to work as usual.
If something should come up, the CMs are more than able to deal with it Җ if something is beyond what they feel they can deal with, then they have my cell and can call me :)
If anyone has any questions or concerns over the next two weeks please let me know :) Otherwise, I֒ll see you guys as usual in a few weeks :)
