(almost brown/gray/green) stuff from one nipple - nothing from the other. I was expecting nothing. Is the sticky stuff normal?
I also started goats rue (lisa, it IS hideous. I gagged. Putting it in 2 oz of warm water and plugging my nose helped) and fenugreek. I'm very excited to start.
The pumping is not so bad. I rented a hosp grade pump and my sister said to expect pain. I found it ...nice. I remember when I bf'ed my dd (6 yrs ago) that it was easy and I loved it. It felt like it was something I should be doing. Not exactly that, but close.
I pumped for 18 min on both sides at the same time. Is this right? Should I do more? Less? I know I'm supposed to do it every 3-4 hours for the first month. Just notsure how long and if both sides at once are okay.
If I get any milk, I'll be happy. I"m ordering the lact-aid tomorrow.
Somehow doing all this has made it all feel much more real and thrilling. Can't wait for June 12th!

I've heard of that happening and heard it was normal at first for some people if it conitues for a long time...I would check with a doctor or lactation consultant.
Don't know when your getting your little one...but I'd reccomend pumping less time more frequently....like 10minutes every 1-2 hours. The frequency will make all the difference not the duration including pumping once or twice a night...between the hours of 1-5am when your prolactin levels are working in your favor.
Good luck!!!
