Is it the sending or recieving state? Who knows for sure and does it vary? The boys' kin thinks they are getting $300 each and are now wanting to take 4 of the kids. "Fake Auntie" already quit her job. Which is really good planning since they can now live off just "fake uncle"'s disability until my states DCS decides to move them...which would be sometime between summer and never (I wish!)
ETA: the reason I ask is because I've been told this state (receiving) doesn't have stipend for kinship anymore. I don't want these kids set up to have 6 people living on one disability check....
I was told the sending state is financially responsible for the child, and I'm pretty sure Ohio gives a fairly generous stipend to kin.

In our case the sending state (CA) will pay the stipend. They pay the amount that the receiving state(PA) would pay.
PA pays about $500 a month for one child so that is what CA will send.
We are fictive kin (adopted siblings). I don't know if regular kin would get the stipend or not.

For my kids it's the sending state. (TX) My parents get my son's SSI check, the monthly subsidy, and food stamps. Our CW has mentioned on more than one occasion that the $$ can be the main (or only) reason sometimes that family steps forward for the kids. :(
I was told (when ours were supposed to ICPC) that our state, Missouri, would be paying the stipend to the parent in Kansas where the girls would move to and live. I do know the relative was upset that he would receive MO rates and not KS rates for the girls.
