My name is MJ my DH and I are just in the very very beginning stages of proceeding with foster to adopt! I'm super excited and so ready to get licensed and start inviting kids into our home! We have 3 bio kids 7, 5 & 3 years old! We suffered a miscarriage in March last year at 17 weeks gestation and during delivery I was forced to do an emergency hysterectomy to stop the bleeding. Four surgeries, a week in the hospital, the loss of our baby and fertility and the thought of never seeing my kids again about did me in... But you can't knock me down that easy :) I'm determined to be a mom again. I feel deep in my heart that this is the right route for us! Ik this isn't about me it's about these kids I can't imagine what so many of them have gone through. We want a younger sibling group now and possibly in the future older children as well! I'm looking for encouragement, support and friends! God bless!!

Welcome to the boards! I'm so sorry to hear about your loss and hope that you are feeling better emotionally. I lost my first child a month after birth so please believe me I know that pain and heartache. You've come to a great place to find support, encouragement, honest opinions, and perhaps some new friends. I hope your ride on this roller coaster is a good one and that you don't wait to long to adopt. I know you stated very beginnings stages but where are you at? Have you done orientation or classes yet?
