Hi , how much do you know about your birth parents have you requested your non-id ? Do you know who handled your adoption ( what agency or was it private with an attorney )? Have you registered with FARR and ISRR? If not and you are not sure what these are just ask I will post the information here for you. Are you still in St Petersburg?
On another note if you happen to have been brought up in a family where your adopted parents also have biological children with the total number of children (now adults)in your family being around six children ( we have been told by a case work 4 sons 2 daughters born between 1968-1975 ish) ) please contact me. We Know my husbands birth mother adopted children years after relinquishing him in 1958. So we think and feel one of the children she adopted will one day search for their bio parents and this may be the way we find her... Good Luck to you.

All I know is what is in my post. I am not in St. Pete anymore but in Leesburg. I am unsure who I was adopted through. I have asked for the information from my parents several times and they have not gotten it for me. I would like more info on the other two organizations you mentioned if you don't mind. My parents have another adopted daughter and a bio daughter. Thank you
Hi
Sure here is the information the lady the runs FARR, from what I have heard is very friendly but her name escapes me at this moment I think it is Josie ???
Florida Adoption Reunion Registry
1317 Winewood Boulevard
Tallahassee, FL 32399-0700
Also additionally here is info on contacting the state of florida about who might have handled your adoption
For adoption related information and records:
Florida Department of Children and Families
1317 Winewood Boulevard, Building 7
Tallahassee, FL 32399-0700
(850) 921-2177
Fax: (850) 488-0751
With Farr you can register your name with them and if either of your birth parents are looking for you they will with your permssion release contact information. I think there is $35.00 fee involved.
As for not knowing who handled your adoption I would like to email you privately the names of several Florida Search Angels (they work for free )who may be able to help you figure out how to obtain this information. MY private email is available via my profile so feel free to email.me directly. Profiles can be found by clicking on my screen name I have several educated guess on who could have handled your adoption , it most likely was either Private via an attorney,Children's Home Society or Catholic Charities those seem to be the most promient agencies and methods of adoption back in from 1950-1970's in St Petersburg.

This is what ISRR is about :
The International Soundex Reunion Registry is a non-profit, tax exempt, humanitarian agency founded in 1975 by Emma May Vilardi. ISRR is a mutual consent reunion registry for persons desiring a reunion with next-of-kin.
This agency serves the needs of family members who have been separated from each other by adoption, divorce, foster care institutional care, abandonment, etc.
ISRR is not affiliated with any other registry or organization.
Additionally resources are available via those search angels I mention.
You mention having two sibilngs, let me take this one step farther just to totally elminate any possilbe relationship ( i know it is a very very long shot but one never knows in this secretive world of adoption) By any chance are both you adoptive mothers parents deceased?
I hope this will be of some assistance to you. Let me know what else I can do to help you. I really wish you the best of luck in your search, I truly understand how frustrating and overwhelming it can seem.
My Best
