Has anyone seen any cute ideas for doing pages for baby's first food? I have pictures cut and matted for a 3 page spread of my baby's first time eating solid food (cereal). But before I finish, I just thought I'd check around first and see if I want to be a little more creative.

I knew I could count on you! Wow. I really like the tag idea. And the jars reminded me that I'd forgotten I'd saved the label from his first jar of food! Now - where did I put that????? I think I"ll add in how much it cost - 30 years from now, we might be surprised. I like the use of the tag on likes/dislikes - I have tags, but never know what to do with them. On a sidenote, I'm a very amateur/basic scrapper. In fact, hardly worthy of the term 'scrapper'. I helped our friends' daughter w/ her first year 4H scrapbook project this year. I was so proud of her. I helped her cut a few photos, but she did all the work and came up w/ many ideas. Okay - I'm out after this. The second level goes WAY beyond my knowledge of different techniques. I was looking at some of the other books in the 4H building - WOW. I cannot believe what 6th graders are doing! Puts me to SHAME! I'm going to share some sites from here from you w/ my little friend....
Don't discount what you have done! You are recording your families memories - that is what is important! When cleaning out my grandparents house, after their death, we found an OLD register of PA schools in the late 1800's, which in itself was odd, but when you opened the book from the back someone had cut out reciepes, poems, and other tipbits from newspapers and magazines. By what was cut out I believe it was my great grandmother (who had also lived in that home), and it doesn't even include pictures or anything fancy, but it gives me a taste of what was important to her at that time.
