Okay here is my issue. Maternal Grandmother has visitation rights...way more than she should. What happens to her rights after the adoption is final and I become the biological mother? Does she still get the visitation?? Please Please Please I need some feedback!!

this might be a wording error on your part.... no one can EVER become a biological mother if they didn't give birth.
why do you think the bio grandmother doesn't deserve visits?

How does the grandmother have visitation rights, There is no such thing as grandparent rights in california. Making me believe that maybe she has some type of parental rights as well. IF you try the adoption are you fighting the bio parent or bio grandparent. You need to give more info before I can try to answer your questions.
if you read her other post she says that the biomother died in 2004 and she thinks that the grandmother is too possesive over the child. personally i don't think the poor girl needs to lose her grandmother and maternal family as well as her mother, she only died 2 years ago.
