I'll try to put this as quickly as possible. Last night my husband found out who his birth father was. His brother had called years ago and the man, although he admitted that he was my husbands father, said he wanted nothing to ***** do with him.
That was many years ago. One statement , I do remember from his mother, when my husband asked her who his birth father was , was " why? so you can ruin another family too?"
That told me quite a few things. One that the man was alive, two that he had a family and three that she was a * itc*. ( knew that already anyway, lol)
The birth father lives in England and is most likely dead. I have a suspicion that he has never told his children about him, thus the wanting nothing to do with him.
We would like to phone to the children ( probably in their fifties) to tell him of my husbands existence and try to establish some sort of relationship with them, if they are willing.
Here's the big question. We have to do this long distance, so what should the conversation sound like?
Hi, my name is Peter and I am your oldest brother, the one our father never told you about?
no idea. help.
