My daughter and her husband, already biological parents to two little boys, have just adopted a little girl, 28 mos. who had suffered severe neglect. She was placed in foster care a year ago. So now, she is on her "third" family. I have ordered her Toddler Adoption, Weaver's Craft. 3 days in, everyone is wondering where this will lead. I'm looking for support for them - just someone is a similar situation who can help with some of the questions.
We adopted our daughter at 24 mos. At that time, our other adopted children were 3 years and 9 mos. The children are now 6, 7 and 8 and all doing very well. Feel free to ask questions. I'd be happy to offer any information you may need. You can PM me with anything quite personal.

My son was adopted at 2 and a half, my daughter 3 and a half. They were severely neglected and we were their 5th placement. Each time they are moved they suffer loss... that puts them at risk for Reactive Attachmet Disorder. I would look into this so that your aware and can start right away with attachment parenting. Not that I'm an expert, but I do have 2 diagnosed with RAD and I'd be happy to answer any questions, please feel free to PM.
