Searching for any family

I was born in GA in 1960. My father was a traveling salesman and mother was young. I don't have any info. to go on at all. I was adopted thru the GA state agency and would like to find any of my family. Cindy

what date? i was also born in 1960.........in muscogee county........June 13.........my adoption handled by GA children & family services......

I was born July 26 and was adopted out of Atlanta - Fulton Cty. I'm not sure if it was DFACS or not - just always known it as a state agency. Have you found family or are you looking? It's really hard since back then they locked everything up and we can't get to it. Are you still in the Muscogee area? I'm still around Atlanta - dont' think I'll ever get out of the state! Not many Native Georgians around! lol Cindy

To Nicole28 and BarbiD - I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. I lost my Dad in March and then in May we were struck by a tornado, so I've been totally slammed with trying to take care of my mom, dad's estate and the house and getting it fixed. I haven't forgotten all the tips and ideas on getting info. and may not be able to act on any til after the first of the year, but when I do I'll be going back on threads from here in order to get the ideas back. I don't remember who it was that told me they had a contact person that could help me as well, but I will find that person again from here and get in touch with them.

To Nicole28 - Happy Belated B'day! Hope you had a good one.

Hope everyone I've chatted with from here before are all doing ok and if still looking maybe had some luck since I was last around or have need leads.
