I am hoping that someone has some advise to help- I am at a dead end. I filed a court order for non-identifying info and to open my adotion records about 4 months ago for Marion County. I got a letter with some non-identifying info which was interesting but not much. It had the ages, education, jobs, etc of my birth parents and that they were both in good health. I got a letter from the court today stating that they could not locate my birth parents and the judge denied me to open the records. What do i do now? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Julie
Well this might be a strange approach but the elections are over...contact your local representive or congress man and ask for help, dont be afraid they ar jsut people too.
Did it give you the bdates of parents if it did as mine did. I found my bfather at
Kentucky Birth Records and Certificates
by searching for every male that was born on the day given in the non id info then taking the mothers madien name and searching for sibling that would have been of the same age, I think this cost me around $25 and a day on the computer..a long day:grr: betting my head against the wall. THen only 1 male born on that given day had brothers and sisters that would have been of the correct age and the county was right.
I found the bmum from a search angel welll at least her name in bcert, then i search and searched until I found her from a newspaper property transfer,,
If they were both born in Ky and you know the county then the wesbsite above will help you. You can use the web site without paying but your search in much greater & take longer to find.
Good Luck
Dana:)
