GREAT NEWS! Found out today hubby and I are now licensed foster parents!
Now we wait for Idaho to decide on the permancy of our niece in foster care there. We are hoping since we are now licensed they will pick us!
Congrats on your license and Best of Luck with getting your niece out here. She is lucky to have someone looking after her.

May I ask - how long did it take for you to be "official" after your homestudy was complete and sent in?

We are supposed to review our homestudy this week and then they will send it in. Hoping it doesn't take too long.
We started our home study beginning of October, it was written up and sent to the licensing dept by DCF on Nov 21st. We found out on Nov 27th we had our license. We didn't get our actual paper license yet but they called my hubby with the license numbers so we could call Idaho and relay that to them.
They originally said on the 21st that it would be 14 days to review the home study and issue the license. I guess that is the norm from submission of home study to licensing if all is in order. If in that 14 days our home study was not complete they would send it back to DCF. If it was complete and we were approved they would then issue the license. I didn't expect it to only take 6 days! And then they backdate our license to Nov 22nd for some odd reason LOL
But just glad it's over with! So from start (Mapp class was September 10th-did the 3 Saturday all day classes) til finish (Sept 10th-Nov 22nd) it took a total of about 2 1/2 months to get our license.
So you may have your license in a couple of weeks!!!!
