I need help finding an adoptee in Texas. I have names for the date of birth and checked them out and nothing checks out as far as being the correct person. This was a private adoption. Could the date of birth been changed after the adoption to avoid a birthparent from finding the adoptee?

Hi, I wanted to make sure you knew someone saw your post although I don't have any answers for you. From what I've read on this site, birth dates are sometimes changed at the time of adoption. Good luck in your search.

I registered on this site and discovered a match... my birthson had registered here about 5 years before. His info was out of date, but there was enough to locate him. There were a number of persons with the right date, but only one from the hospital where I gave birth!
Do you know who handled the adoption? If the lawyer is still around, you might be able to make contact through him or her.

I do not kow the lawyers name. I know hospital name. Do youknow if possibly dates could have been changed ? How did you know or where did you see information on the hospital>/ Thanks

I knew the hospital because I was the birthmom. Both of us included the name of the hospital info when we registered here. I don't know what you can do if they changed the date. I suppose you could check out several days or weeks before or after the actual day and see if you get a hit. There are a number of places available on line who will check data bases for you to see if they come up with a match.
