We're making some changes to the site - and one of those changes includes a more in depth and easier to access profile. Due to the changes we've made, members who have special characters in their username may not be able to take advantage of some of the awesome changes we're making. So, in an effort to make sure everyone has the opportunity to take advantage of these features, we're allowing members to make changes to their username that removes the special characters. If you elect NOT to make the change - members will see a series of numbers in place of the special characters present in your username, to make your username URL Compliant. You will still log in using the same username you have now, if you elect NOT to change your user name however, members viewing your profile will NOT see the same username, because the special characters are not URL compliant.Characters no longer allowed: ? + % ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) = , < > / ; " ' [ ] { } | \ ~ ` If a user name contains anything beyond A-Z, 0-9, underscore, dash and periods, it will not comply. If you do elect to change your username to remove the special characters in order to make your username URL Compliant, you will log in and post using the new username. This is a one time opportunity that we֒re offering our users, in order to make our site more user-friendly. In the coming weeks, users will begin viewing your profile as well as our other member profiles at adoption.com/yourusernamehere which makes sharing your profile and information easier. If you would like to change your username, please send an email to bh@adoptionmedia.com with your top three choices and the first available will be assigned and you will be notified of the change. Thank you!
