A SPANISH FAMILY WILL SUE BULGARIAN INSTITUTIONS, RESPONSIBLE FOR THE
CLUMSY ADOPTION PROCEDURE OF BULGARIAN CHILDREN FROM FOREIGN FAMILIES.

The Spanish family has adopted the two brothers and only before couple
of days they succeed to adopt their sister.
The first adoption procedure took 6 months, the second-one year, and
the third one dragged on more then 3 years.
The parents: this is an awful paradox, where is think for the good
of the child, when she has to stay in orphanage, instead being with
her biological brothers, her family, this is our motive to sue the
Bulgaria.Ӕ
In their opinion this situation is a result form the adoption law,
accepted in 2003.
According to the President of association Home for every childӔ
Bogomil Gerasimov, responsible for the situation is the Counsel for
inter country adoption in Ministry of Justice.
It is respectively that is presenting as a requirement from the
European commission the decrease and stop of the inter country
adoptions. There isnӒt such a requirement. The opposite. The European
commission wants the problem with thousand children placed in our
orphanages to be solved.
Elena Bow and Hordy Sangra are considering in the moment if they will
submit the case in the International Court or in Bulgaria. But they
are explicit, that they donԒt want to sue the Country, but only the
institutions and organizations, which impede to their adoption
procedure.
