I am a youth minister and my husband is a pastor. Last summer we got involved with a fundraising effort for our youth group and raised close to 5k in 10 days. It's a LOT of work, but it's fun and easy money.
We did TNT Fireworks. There are probably a lot of other companies that do this, like Black Cat and so on, but TNT only allows school groups, churches, etc etc to 'run' their tents. Our product arrived around June 26th and we had to run the tent until July 4th at midnight. As I said, a lot of work because someone has to be there constantly. If you have a network of people to help you though, it's not a big deal at all. I did it with only one other adult and a youth group last year!
Anyway, I spoke with our area manager and we're doing it again this year - for our adoption expenses!
If you have any questions, I wouldn't mind to answer at all.
Good luck to all of you!

I just spoke to the folks at tnt, and I have contact information if anyone is interested in it, please! just send me a PM.
They DO allow "Anyone" to do this, does not have to be non profit. So hopefully I will be able to find help and do a tent this summer. :) Thank you for the idea!! And again anyone interested I have the contact information etc, just give me a shout in PM :)

Wonderful! I'm so excited that this might work out for you. Let me know if you get a location! I'll be excited to hear how it goes. What state are you in? If you're in a state where you can sell 'full c' fireworks (things that shoot into the air) you should do even better than we did! (You can't sell those in KY)
