HELLO!
I am so excited to meet you all. My name is Kara and I am a Stay at home mom in Arizona. My husband and I just got our letter from the state saying we are clear to adopt and I am so excited. Our profiles on Its about love and Parent profiles should go live this week. I think it will be great to meet some other LDS adoptive couples as well as potential birth moms so we can all share our exeperiances and support one another. There are just days when you need a listening ear you know! Anyhow I just wanted to say Hi and I look forward to sharing as well as being a friend to you all. I am worn out from church today and I think I will go take a nap before the family all comes over for dinner ha!
Talk to you all again soon...

Congrats on the approval letter. I am also a SAHM with a 2 1/2 year old son. We put our profile on its about love also and on parentprofiles. We got everything up and running in Dec. and we are now matched with a emom due in March. We were really surprised at how fast everything has been moving for us. It's a little scary, because it all seems too good to be true. Our ward has been so supportive of our decision to adopt. It so amazing. The hardest part for me has been getting the " I hope this works out" comment or the " Don't get too attached to this baby". I find it interesting that people would say these things to me. If I were pregnant it would be unheard of to say....Don't get too attached to this baby! KWIM. Anyways. It is nice to meet other LDS couples out there going through the process.
Hello Kara,I love meeting other LDS adoptive SAHM!!We were in the process of completing our private adoptive homestudy and were just matched with a little one through our states foster/adopt program (we were leaving foster/adopt). We spent the weekend with him, he is adorable and we are all in love. We feel this is the baby we have been waiting for but are planning on going forward with the fingerprinting-the only thing left to do just incase. L
