Where are you in the process? We are done. Deborah came home July 2003 and Anna came home October 2005
Did/will you travel? I traveled both times. I went to Ghana to get Deborah because the war had escalated and the airport was closed and then opened temporarily for about a week and then closed again for the duration of the war. During the brief time it was open Deborah was flown out of Liberia to Ghana where I went to get her. Her adoption had been completed before I went. I flew to Liberia in October 2005 to get Anna and completed her adoption there.
How old was/will your child be when coming home? Deborah was 19 months old and Anna was 13.5 months.
What state do you live in? NY

Please remember that any discussion of agencies by name or specifics must be communicated via private message. I edited every post on this thread so far due to the lising of agency/facilitator's names. For more information on this rule, please see the following link: http://forums.adoption.com/africa-general-support/announcement-agency-discussion-guideline-please-read.html
I don't see how stating the name of the agency you are using qualifies as a discussion, but whatever.
Aluarose...perhaps you don't realize how much discussion is there by answering the questions. If I use agency xx and tell you where I am in the process, how old my child is when arriving home etc., then one can certainly see how well/poorly my agency has done. While it doesn't of course include specifics of the actual agencies "doings", it does indeed show timelines and other details that are "discussion".
I understand if something is confusing to you, but perhaps you could be a bit more respectful and not be rude to our moderators who are simply doing their job?
I'm more than happy to discuss with you further in pm or email if you should need to do so, but let's allow the thread to continue on and without agency names.
Thanks,

I moderate 2 internet boards. One of them being a very controversial issue (exotic cat ownership) and I know rude when I see it.
My statement wasn't rude.
Sorry you took it that way.
I still fail to see how stating your agency qualifies as a discussion considering I've seen hundreds of posts on here that have said what agency they are using and have DETAILED information under their signatures telling us the step by step process they've gone through, INCLUDING things like "switched agencies"
We could interpret that to mean the agency was bad, yes?
If we must be that careful about discussing agencies, perhaps we shouldn't mention them at all?
