Alittle background birth mom took baby s home for 3 weeks than went in to sign the consent for adoption on her own free will. we go pick up baby s and than we find out she has made a petition to with draw her consent and than got birth dad to contest the adoption. they are not together.we went to court the birth dad did not show up for court, so his rights were teminated by default.
so us and birth mom showed up the judge heard from both sides. than we went home and waited and waited. finallywe heard from the court. birth moms petetion to with draw her consent was denied. we get to keep our daughter. (thank you God thank you!!!!!!) :dance: :dance: :cheer: :happydance:
We go to court next month to finalize our adoption.

That's good news for you!! Why did birthmom try to withdraw her consent? Your daughter and my son were born close together. (ds was born 12/18). Enjoy your daughter!

thank you everyone. we are so happy.
birth mom said she was under duress with post partum depression when signing the consent to place for doption. We have her son he is 5 year old. who she placed with us in 2002 as a new born.
