:thanks: I am looking for members of my birth father family. I believe his name is Gene Raines? My name is Debra Fischer (Frost) Mother's Maiden Name Norma Lyons. I was born July 9, 1955 in St. Louis Missouri. My Mother Norma died in 1959 I believe. Any help or information will be appreciated, thank you.

Yes, I was raised by my birth mother Norma Frost nee Lyons until her death when I was 4 years old.
Frost was my birth name until I was adopted then it became Powers which is what is on my birth certificate.
Umm were my parents married, that is a hard one. My mother was married to Ronald D. Frost and he gave me his name at birth I am told. He is not suppose to be my real father but I am not sure.
I was born in Ferman Deloges Hospital in St. Louis, I believe I have misspelled it.
Thank you for your help. I could not even find my mothers Death notice on line
Will wait to hear from you.
Debbie Fischer (married name)
I will do a library trip tomorrow and find an obit for your birth mother and possibly a marriage license application index to Ronald D. Frost.
I can do a city directory search for Gene Raines.
I will let you know the outcome.
The obit will list the funeral home and hopefully the cemetery.
Do you have any contact with birth mother's family? If so I will not research past finding an obit.

Good Morning Dolores~ My Aunt is 80 Years old, she is not in good health and has no information for me, I had gotten no answer to questions that I ask years ago She chose years to go not to believe tho' that Ronald was not my father as she did not want me to think anything bad about my mother I guess. I never knew when my mother got married, and the few things I know which is not much I found out on my own. I do not talk to my Aunt now. There is so much I need and want to know, especially trying to find my birth father and any family I have out there. Thank you again, Debbie

Debbie - do you know where your mother went to high school? If so the library has back issues of year books as well as the schools themselves. Maybe this Gene Raines was a classmate. It's good knowing her age.
If you don't know the high school if your Aunt ever told you which part of St. Louis they lived in that would narrow down the schools.
You can request from the St. Louis City School Archives a copy of her record but that costs so let's use that one as a last resort. I believe it's around $10 - $20 for each search. Which might also be the way to find Gene Raines.
I will get a copy of the marriage license later this week as well as a copy of the death certificate, which is $15.
If I find an obit I will copy that also.
