Just wanted to wish my fellow Canadians a fantastic and fergalicious Canada Day!!!:prop:
Anyone have any big plans for the day?
It's a beautiful day here - so we'll be heading to the lake for the festivities this evening. And of course the fire works!!
A local shop is offering 99 cent milkshakes today - so we are going to head over there this afternoon!!
How about you guys??

:canada: Happy Canada Day!!! :canada: I had to work today. My dh is gone camping with friends, our youngest is gone to camp with my parents and our other two are having a sleep over at a friend's house. I'm actually "home alone" right now. Since I got home from work I went through all of the stuff dd brought home from school and threw 98% of it out. I cleaned my closet, did laundry and watched a movie with the kids last night and today I need to clean dd's room or vacuum - I don't think my knees can handle both. Dh is coming back tonight :eyebrows: and we get the kids back tomorrow. I'm not doing anything related to Canada Day today, other than encouraging clients to go to the festivities. Maybe I'll sing Oh Canada while I clean. :thankyou: Bajj - I'm assuming your 4th of July is probably similar in idea - a bunch of people watching fireworks and/or parades, wearing funny hats and/or painting themselves their national colours, drinking beer, etc. Have fun!Dawn H.

Yeah, there are tons of free activities today. M is napping right now since we'll be up til at least midnight for the fireworks. When he gets up we'llhead to the lake (it's in the middle of the city) and see the bands play and eat lots of junk food!! WOOHOO!!!
btw, I had a licorice milkshake and it was YUMMERS!!
Yeah, July 4 in the U.S. and July 1 in Canada are similar....July 1 is Canada's birthday. Isn't the 4th the anniversary of the signing of the declaration of Independence?
SO yeah.....lots of national pride.
I love all the freaks driving around with a million flags on their vehicles!! SO FUN!
I always put M in a Canada Day outfit...I'll post a pic later.
