Hiya!
Have any of you used hypnosis in conjunction with any therapy you've had, especially surrounding relinquishment?
Here's my deal. I cannot, CANNOT remember birthdad's last name. I've dug through everything looking for a letter or picture, but I think I got rid of them without thinking that I'd want to share that with bson somewhere down the line. I guess I was wondering if a therapist who does hypnosis could help me.
I am also a little worried of what else could come out, but maybe I need that as well.
Thanks!
I haven't done hypnosis for a therapeutic reason and haven't known anyone who has. However, if you are willing to deal with whatever emotions might be unleashed, I'd say go for it.

I dont know anyone who tried that but hypnosis has helped many remember other things, so it might work. also have you tried looking thru old high school class books ( if you know what high school he went to) most schools keep them for a long long time. Some libraries as well.
I know what town he was from (he was doing a summer class at a college near me so not from the same area) BUT I currently live in Sweden so searching through highschool yearbooks or even telephone books is not an option for me.
:-(
SO frustrating!
I have searched a highschool reunion website, but couldn't find anyone with his first name so rang a bell with last name.
I guess in some ways it's not that important.
My bson knows if he wants to search his best bet is through the social services agency I used to find him, after all they have all that information there! But that's his choice and he's not ready for it, I'm not going to encourage/discourage him in that.
This is more for my own sanity! :prop:
